The drawback though is that there is scarce supply of E85 pumps.
Ford is considering building concept trucks that utilizes several Ford F250 pickup parts plus other groundbreaking parts and accessories to come up with better trucks. These new vehicles are expected to be displayed at the upcoming North American auto shows.

* Check fluid levels, including engine oil and coolant, brake, transmission, windshield washer and power steering fluids, and fill if necessary. Don't forget to check the gas. Also, coolant should be flushed and refilled as recommended by your vehicle manufacturer.
* Check the condition of each windshield wiper and replace if needed. Windshield wipers are a necessity in snowy and wet conditions.
* Tires can lose 1 pound per square inch of air pressure for each 10-degree drop in temperature. Check your inflation pressure more frequently during the cold months. Under-inflation will lessen the tire's gripping action because the tread will not meet the road surface as it is designed to do.
* In icy conditions, avoid sudden movements. Accelerate gently, turn gradually, and ease on the brakes when stopping. If you start skidding and your car has an anti-lock braking system, apply steady pressure to the brakes and turn in the direction of the skid. Don't pump the brakes.
* If you're approaching a turn while in motion, brake earlier than normal, remove your foot from the brake at the beginning of the turn and steer into the curve. This will provide the most tire grip to avoid skidding or sliding sideways.

Toyota sure does have a lot of surprises up its sleeve. But it would not be quite surprising if it does. After all, we do know that the Toyota Motor Corporation can be considered as one of the biggest and strongest companies in the industry right now. And with great power comes great responsibility and perhaps the company believes that it is their responsibility to produce vehicles that would astound and make the public happy. Sure, they do create remarkable stuff from Toyota Sequoia original parts to fine Toyota accessories to exemplary vehicles but now the company would like to show the motoring public a glimpse of what the future holds.
The company would be showing off soon the Toyota Fine-N vehicle which is actually a hydrogen fuel cell concept car. The Amazing Corvette Z06

Auto enthusiasts all over the United States are cheering on the latest 2007 version of the Corvette Z06. With tremors of change going through the US auto industry as of late, the Corvette still enjoys brisk sales and a loyal vehicle following for the once mighty GM.
The Z06 version of the Vette actually saw its debut in the 1960's but the modern, and still running, version was born in 2001 to replace the ZR1. The new, modern version of the Z06 now boasts being the most powerful and fastest production Corvette to ever come off the assembly line at Chevrolet.
Starting in 2002 the Z06 produced a whopping 405 hp, propelling itself from a standing start to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. The newest 2007 version of the Z06 with its 427 cubic inch powerplant produces a neck snapping 505 hp that decreases the 0-60 time to 3.5 seconds and increases the top speed to 198 mph.
The C6 or sixth generation of the Vette came to production in 2005 as a shorter, sleeker version of its C5 predecessor. The smaller styling of the latest Vette was partly because of complaints of the vehicle being too wide and to also get the attention of European sports car enthusiasts in an attempt to draw them away from models like the Porsche.
My personal opinion on the styling is that the C6 looks too much like a budget sports car compared to the muscular and definitive styling of the previous C5 version. The appearance of the C6 is that of a beautiful and sleek machine with the trunk chopped off. The body profile doesn't quite make the statement it once did as a true American sports car. However, the performance of the C6 Z06 more than makes up for the lack of styling and it still looks great from the front 3/4 view.
The base price of $70,000 (try getting one for that price) is expensive for most car buyers for sure, but it is a true bargain in its class. With its 0 to 60 times, top speed and overall performance, it is a breath of fresh air in a class of automobiles costing nearly twice its price. Comparatively the Ford GT and the Dodge Viper SRT-10 both have suggested starting retail prices above $140,000, exactly twice that of the Corvette Z06.
One of the most amazing things about this beauty of a sports car is that it is the first 500 plus horse power production vehicle to avoid the ridiculous US Government mandated gas guzzler tax. It does this by being a moderately fuel efficient vehicle and weighing at 18 miles in the city and 28 miles on the highway for the manual transmission model. That's better than my 2005 Toyota 4Runner that takes more than twice as long to get from 0-60.
As you can see, there are many reasons for the car enthusiast to love the new Corvette Z06. Its performance, price, styling (to some) and fuel economy make it a well rounded world class sports car. And I have to mention it again, you just can't beat the price!

It you have been driving for any length of time, you most
certainly have come across one or more occasions where you were

However, there are ways you could be savvier and avoid getting

* On a road with more than two lanes, drive in the middle lane.

* Do not admit to the police officer that you did actually

pay the full penalty.

What Is The Difference Between Synthetic Oil And Conventional Motor Oil?

Motor oil is designed to serve many different purposes within a cars engine. While the primary function is to simply lubricate all the moving parts and provide protection from wear and corrosion, it also is intended to keep the engine cool and free from small pieces of debris.
Conventional motor oils are made from crude oil which has been is pumped from the ground and then processed in a refinery to create a base oil. Additives are then mixed into the base oil to change the viscosity, protection properties and heat breakdown levels of the oil.
Synthetic oil is also created in a similar manner to a conventional engine oil, using a base oil combined with a series of additives. The difference lies in the fact that synthetic motor oils are created utilizing a specially "synthesized" base oil where the size of the oil molecules are all of an ideal weight and of a consistent size. While a conventional motor oil, despite the refining processes, is made up of different molecule sizes which are mixed together, along with various waxes and impurities, a fully synthetic oil is made to provide a much purer base oil, with less waxes and with a uniform ideal particle size to help increase the oils viscosity level. Added to this ideal base oil is a combination of more technically sophisticated additives than are used with the conventional oils.
The additives which are used in the production of synthetic oils can help to create an extremely stable engine oil which will sustain the correct viscosity levels across a large range of temperatures and which will flow properly at lower temperatures when compared against conventional oils. Additional friction inhibitors which are activated at lower temperatures than those of conventional oils, are generally included in synthetic motor oils, to provide improved protection for the engine from the moment of start-up.
This means that the synthetic oil is designed with improved lubricate properties and enhanced viscosity to provide superior protection from engine wear, reduced heat breakdown volatility for decreased oil consumption, improved fuel mileage, easier engine cold starting and a reduction in engine deposits.

Added to this ideal base oil is a combination of more technically sophisticated additives than are used with the conventional oils.
The additives which are used in the production of synthetic oils can help to create an extremely stable engine oil which will sustain the correct viscosity levels across a large range of temperatures and which will flow properly at lower temperatures when compared against conventional oils. Additional friction inhibitors which are activated at lower temperatures than those of conventional oils, are generally included in synthetic motor oils, to provide improved protection for the engine from the moment of start-up.
This means that the synthetic oil is designed with improved lubricate properties and enhanced viscosity to provide superior protection from engine wear, reduced heat breakdown volatility for decreased oil consumption, improved fuel mileage, easier engine cold starting and a reduction in engine deposits.

Volvo XC90 Treasure Hunt, Successfully Completed

Who could not forget the much hyped and much advertised pirate treasure hunt by Volvo Cars? In fact, many people have been enticed by the whole idea of battling it out as pirates through various forms of media and finding a buried Volvo XC90 V8 vehicle in the end of the race.
The whole ordeal started out through the Internet and through various games, challenges, and trivia, the would be pirates had to make sure that they could go through each step of the way and solve every challenge that they faced. This competition has been regarded as highly successful because of the huge amount of interested participants who went in and joined in The Hunt. Aside from this, the Volvo Hunt also is the very first of its kind for it is a multi-media hunt.
The whole challenge took two months of solving challenges on the Internet. However, only seven were able to make it to the final list. There were three contenders who hailed from the US while the remaining finalists came from UK, Japan, Spain, and Austria. These finalists did not know where the final challenge and the final leg was going to take place. The only time that they knew about it was when they were already flown to the secret location. The paradise of Bahamas. And it would take the finalists two days to find the treasure. Clues were still around the place as well as challenges. And those who made to the last leg had to go over each obstacle so as to be able to advance to the next one.
It was David Hutz, the finalist from USA who found the buried Volvo XC90 V8 which was unique for it was pirate-themed. The six other finalists did not go home empty handed, though. They also received a prize from Volvo and it was not just some parts for 1986 Volvo XC90. In fact, each one of them took home a Volvo, which was a surprise for them.
One of the finalists, Karl Lloyd who hails from the UK, exclaims, “When I received the call from Volvo saying I had won a trip to a mystery location, I was certainly surprised, but when we arrived in the Bahamas, I was speechless. Then, when I thought I’d dropped out of the running, I was very disappointed – but when we found out that all the runners up would receive a new Volvo XC90, I was absolutely flabbergasted! Thanks to everyone at Volvo for making the whole experience both wonderful and unforgettable.”

Tax Credits For Toyota Hybrids To Be Cut In Half

If you purchase a new hybrid car after January 1, 2006, you can
get a major tax credit for doing so. Alas, the tax credits
applicable for Toyota hybrids are about to be cut in half.
The government uses all types of methodology to modify our
behavior. While many look for nefarious conspiracies and such,
the government usually does it right before our eyes. The most
obvious area of behavior modification is with taxes. In this
case, the government has made an effort to boost energy
conservation by giving us massive financial incentives to
purchase hybrid vehicles. The incentives come in the form of
tax credits.
A tax credit is the golden egg of taxes. Whereas a tax
deduction, such as the mortgage interest deduction, is used to
lower the adjusted gross income you will have to use to figure
out the amount you owe off the tax tables, tax credits get
right to the heart of the matter. You see, tax credits are
deducted dollar for dollar from the amount of tax you owe. If
you figure out your adjusted gross income, go to the tax tables
and then figure out you owe $8,000 for the year, the tax credit
is then subtracted from this amount. Golden egg, indeed.
In the case of hybrids, the government wants to motivate us to
buy them, but only to a certain extent. The government is more
or less trying to make them an acceptable part of our society,
not give them a free ride forever. As a result, the tax credits
applicable to the purchase of hybrids phase out after certain
sales goals are met. Specifically, the tax credits start being
reduced once a manufacture sells 60,000 hybrid vehicles. The
IRS reviews the sales number each quarter to keep a tab on how
the manufacturers are doing.
In the case of Toyota, the IRS has determined that the company
reached the 60,000 mark this last quarter. Specifically, it hit
the mark in May. As a result, the tax credit that can be claimed
for buying a Toyota hybrid will begin to be phased out.
Beginning in October 2006, the tax credit for each model of
Toyota and Lexus [owned by Toyota], will be reduced by a
whopping 50 percent. In April of 2007, the credits will be cut
again, this time to 25 percent of the original credit amount.
In October of 2007, the credit will be terminated completely.
The tax credit amount is determined by vehicle, so you will
have to determine the equivalent cut for the model you are
interested in.
If you have been paying attention to the dates, you may have
noticed something interesting. The reduction for the Toyota
hybrid tax credit does not happen immediately. You can still go
out today, purchase a Toyota hybrid and claim the full tax
credit. Once we roll into October 2006, that will no longer be
the case.

The Acura RDX is the very first crossover vehicle from the brand and it has been created to be an entrant to the compact luxury crossover SUV segment. It first came to the public as a concept car which is the Acura RD-X. Honda is the manufacturer that produces this vehicle and the production version of this vehicle was released to the public during this year’s New York Auto Show. It took the place of the Acura MDX for the entry level SUV. This vehicle would be coming with the best Acura auto parts plus a 2.3 liter K23A1 Turbo I4 engine for power. It would be coming on sale starting next year so similar vehicles like the Infiniti FX35, Lincoln MKX, Nissan Murano, Lexus RX, and BMW X3 better be on the alert when this come roaring down the streets.

This one would be called the Technology Package and just by the name itself, it would be giving the vehicle more advanced features. Of course, these additions would be giving the drivers or even the passengers an even better driving or riding experience.

This is primarily due to the fact that since the company acquired the luxury brand of vehicles, Ford still has to make a good cent out of it. And presently, with all the financial trouble that the auto manufacturer is in, selling the Jaguar brand might prove to be a big help to bring up the finances that the company has lost.
Now, according to the group Financial Times, there is one British group which is very much interested in purchasing Jaguar from the Ford Motor Company. Of course, this is a long way off from the automotive Cinderella story which was been making its rounds in the industry. According to the story, it would be like a fairytale if a Russian billionaire would buy the brand and then make it into a good and high selling brand of luxury vehicles.
JCB, a British construction machinery group, has already sent out its profound interest in purchasing the Jaguar. This group is privately owned. And according to its chairman, Anthony Bamford, the group would only be willing to buy Jaguar from the Ford Motor Company if and only if the brand, Jaguar, would be split up with the Land Rover brand. Land Rover has been acquired by Ford together with the Jaguar and both brands have been benefiting from marketing efforts made for both of them.
It might be good for JCB to purchase the Jaguar, that is if Ford is interested in separating with this luxury brand and all other products connected with it like those classic Jaguar XK 150 parts. After all, JCB’s own Dieselmax vehicle was able to beat its very own land speed record in the category of diesel powered cars. Who knows? Maybe JCB is the right type of management that would and could bring out the shine of the Jaguar.

Times have certainly been changing and it looks like Volvo is also moving along with what’s happening in the mainstream. The Volvo that we all know is that vehicle manufacturer that produces box type cars and vehicles which are cunningly built so as to provide the utmost safety and protection to its passengers.
But it seems like the changing lifestyles and market consumption has also pushed the auto manufacturer from Sweden to start moving away from the style and type of vehicles that the company has grown up with. And it is starting to make a name for itself not just in terms of safety but also in style plus quality and design. These are some things that you would never think would happen to Volvo. And recently, Volvo is now working on spreading the news and the miracle of green technology.
It would take more than just simply creating parts custom Volvo S90 and other Volvo parts. It would take more time and effort to create and make use of such technology.

Both the Subaru Forester XT and the Subaru Forester SX would come with a rear roof spoiler which is fitted through manufacturing in the Subaru auto factories. These models would also be holding ultraviolet glass which has been tinted. These pieces of UV glass would be used for the vehicles’ windows in the rear, quarter, and the back portion.
The line would also be continuing on offering its Luxury options. The Luxury package gives the Subaru Forester vehicles leather trims and a sunroof which is also factory-fitted. Aside from this, the Satellite Navigation system would now be offered as an option for car buyers.
“The popularity of the Forester continues to defy the normal model lifecycle and is consistently one of our strongest selling vehicles. Recently, it was named the safest used vehicle in a seventeen year study conducted by Monash University and it continues to dominate retained values rankings in the compact SUV segment,” relates Nick Senior. Senior is the managing director for the Australian arm of the Subaru brand.

The first vehicle that the auto manufacturer brought to the country of South Africa was the Toyota Yaris which were brought in hatchback and sedan models. Then followed the Toyota Fortuner which is a sport utility vehicle. Now, the company brings to South Africa the Toyota Avensis. Each of these vehicles are entrants to the newest segments that are appearing in the South African auto market.
What makes the Toyota Avensis unique is that it is the only vehicle from the whole range of Toyota vehicles that is manufactured in the United Kingdom. Its only market used to be Japan but now it takes on a second home, South Africa. The model that was launched in the country is actually a second generation version already. But it would not only be stopping its journey in South Africa but it also would be moving towards the auto market in the United Kingdom, where it is currently manufactured.
Though the Toyota Avensis is not made up of the type of materials that have been used for the hardy Toyota truck parts, this vehicle sure is still a quality one. It offers a classy driving experience through the leather seats that one can find in the cabin. Sure enough, anybody who rides inside this vehicle would be having a relaxing journey. It can also be defined as an educational, religious, medical or religious institution, which tries to provide some service to the poor and needy. Car charity is a form of charity. In this a person can donate a car to a nonprofit charity or religious organization. Such charities must apply for 501(c)(3) status with the IRS.
A person can donate his car to charity. In such cases the donor is given a charitable gift IRS Tax Receipt. The donors can donate their cars to their favorite charity. These charity institutions either raise cash for these cars through dealer auctions. They may also sell these cars to used car dealers. The net proceeds from the sale go into the trust’s fund. Vehicle donations made to bona fide charitable organizations are fully tax-deductible. The IRS allows the taxpayer to claim a tax deduction on the value of his vehicle up to $500. The donor must have title to the vehicle, as this makes the donation procedure much easier.
The car charity is a win-win scenario for all involved. A donor is able to get rid of his old car without hassles. It also gives him a fat tax deduction. A charity gets money that it would not otherwise receive through cash contributions. A middleman or agent makes some profit through the process of soliciting, towing and selling the car.

To avoid this, Congress recently passed legislation to limit taxpayers' deductions for donation of cars, trucks, boats or planes to the gross proceeds received by the charity. People who donate vehicles to charities for $500 or more need to receive a written notice from the charity with the gross proceeds of the sale, stating that it was sold in an ‘arm's length transaction’ between unrelated parties.

Volvo C30 was first shown during the Detroit show of 2006. Since its debut, car enthusiasts were interested in Volvo’s smallest car. Brace yourselves as the Volvo will show the production version of the two door hatch at the Paris auto show this coming September. Although the Volvo Company has not yet planned the US sales, they claim that the car will be available in US by next year.
According to Volvo’s president and CEO Fredrick Arp, the latest breed of Volvo Cars is scientifically and precisely made for young singles with an active and social lifestyle. The company is expecting to sell 65,000 units of C30s every year. Volvo Cars North America pointed out that the company is still deciding whether the car should be sent to US.
C30 is Volvo’s smallest car, and it is one inch and a half smaller than the Audi A3. With a length of 167 inches long, C30 is 8.5 inches shorter than Volvo S40. Quality and comfort is also a must for Volvo C30. It features a four-seater folding rear bucket seat located at the inboard for a more spacious and superior windshield visibility.
It uses the same 2.5-liter, turbocharged five-cylinder engine Volvo used in both S40/V50 and C70. This four wheel drive car develops 218 hp and 236 lb ft of torque from the engine used.
This car is also made for safety and security. It has a Blind Spot Information System that tells the driver that another vehicle is in its blind spot. Like other cars, it also has safety belt pretensioners, side airbags as well as whiplash protection system. Riders will not only feel relaxed but they will also feel free from harm at the same time.

The Future Car by Bugatti

Dubbed as "The most expensive, most powerful and fastest street-legal production car in the world", the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 can go well over 250 mph (400+ kmph). This airplane on wheels can go from zero to sixty in 2.5 seconds and a base price tag of 1,000,000 Euros ($ 1,300,000.00). Full production started last September 2005; this car is built by Bugatti Automobiles SAS, which happens to be a subsidiary of Volkswagen AG. The car is named after Pierre Veyron, the 1939 Le Mans champion who raced for the original Bugatti firm.
The development of the vehicle started with the EB 18/3 "Veyron" concept car back in 1999 designed be Hartmut Warkuss of Volkswagen. The appearance of the concept car is very similar to the final production car but sported a W18 engine and three banks of six cylinders instead of the W16 engine. At the 2001 Geneva Motor Show, former VW chairman, Ferdinand Piëch announced the production of Veyron but will be using W16 engine that promised a top speed of 250 mph. Development continued throughout 2001 and the production was pushed back by delays and setbacks on the design. This is mainly due to the difficulty of keeping a car stable at high-speed. One Veyron prototype crashed and another spun out while being demonstrated publicly in Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca. By 2003, Piëch retired as chairman of Volkswagen and was replaced by Bernd Pischetsrieder, who sent the Veyron project back to the drawing board to resolve the major issues. Bugatti later announced that the car would be officially called Bugatti Veyron 16.4.
Under the hood, the Veyron 16.4 features a W16 engine with 4 banks of 4 cylinders. The engine looks like two V8 engines merged into one. The engine is equipped with 4 turbochargers and displaces 8.0 L with a square 86 x 86 mm bore and stroke. It also uses a dual-clutch DSG computer-controlled manual transmission and 7 gear ratios using shifter paddles behind the steering wheel that makes an 8ms shift time possible. It can also be driven by full automatic transmission. The Veyron runs at full-time all-wheel drive that was developed by Haldex and uses special Michelin run-flat tires designed specifically for the Veyron. The Veyron 16.4 is the quickest production car to reach 62 mph with an estimated time of 2.5 seconds. As a matter of fact, Veyron's 0-200 mph time is quicker than McLaren F1's 120-200 mph time. Thus making it the quickest-accelerating production car up to date. Because of this, the Veyron 16.4 also consumes more fuel than any other production car. At full throttle, the Veyron can empty its 100 L fuel tank in just 12.5 minutes.

The $250 M Ford Russian Investment

$250 million is surely a big amount. But it seems to be worth everything for the Ford Motor Company. In fact, this auto manufacturer from Dearborn, Michigan has decided on investing $250 million for production of new cars and vehicles in Russia. This is according to a statement released by the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Russia.
The company has decided on investing a huge amount as part of the investment agreement that it went into. The production of new Ford vehicles and cars would be done in the province of Vsevolzhsk which is located in the northwestern part of Russia. And according to the agreement, Ford would be investing the amount on the production and assembly of the Ford Mondeo and the Ford Maverick. As much as parts are also important, Ford Fairmont auto parts are not part of the agreement and would not be produced in the country.
The Ministry further states, “The planned volume of additional investment under the project will amount to $250 million.” And so far, the Ford Motor has already invested ninety two per cent of the agreed amount. It still has to add up some $20 million more to complete their part of the investment.
The plant in Vsevolzhsk would be also completed and once ready, it would soon be able to create and produce some 30,000 Ford Mondeo units. Along with that, it would also be making 20,000 Ford Maverick vehicles. The plant in Russia is also producing Ford Focus cars and the company plans on increasing the units completed from the current 60,000 to an additional 40,000 Ford Focus units.
The Ford Mondeo is also marketed under other names like the Ford Contour and the Mercury Mystique and it has been in production since 1993. It is a midsized vehicle built as a hatchback, wagon, and sedan. As per the Ford Maverick, this vehicle has been produced since the 1970s.

The Legendary Sports Car - The Jaguar E-type

One of the most popular sports cars from the 1960s is the Jaguar E-type, which was manufactured in between the years 1961 and 1974. The car, which is sometimes known as the Jaguar XK-E, has ranked high on many sports car lists, because it was unique, powerful, and certainly ahead of its time. The cars were sold for over 14 years, and coupled with a low price, this lead to over 70,000 E-types sold.
Over the years there were three different versions of the car released. In the beginning, the car was designed to be a race car. However, it gradually turned into a sports car and was first shown to the public in Switzerland in 1961 as a car for long trips and as a convertible. The public immediately enjoyed the car, most likely due to its shape. The aerodynamic shape of the car was unique for its time and highly influenced other sports cars that came after it.
When the car was introduced in the United States, it was shown in its gold color and was accompanied by a popular actress named Marilyn Hanold.
For a car released in 1961, the power was also unheard of. There were four wheel disc brakes, which was only found on race cars at the time, a double overhead cam engine, and completely independent rear suspension. The price at the time was only $5,600, which proved the Jaguar E-type to be a great deal.
In 1969, the second version of the car was released. New features included open headlights without glass covers and a better cooling system. The car now offered an air conditioning and power steering options, while the car seats were designed to be more comfortable. The interior and dashboard also experienced a redesign, as new American health and safety regulations had to be met. The second series of the E-type lasted on three years, but that was because the third version was released in 1971.
An upgraded Jaguar V12 engine was used in the third design of the car. This also came with better brakes and standard power steering. The third series of the Jaguar E-type also had its own unique look, with a front grill and a V12 badge on the rear. The car's wheel arches were also different. This was the last series of the E-type, as the Jaguar XJ-S attempted to replace the car in 1975. Most can agree that the car did not pass the legendary status of the Jaguar E-type.
To this day, the Jaguar E-type is considered to be one of the best sports car ever built. It's truly a popular coupe, as it is still shown on the cover of some car magazines. The car hasn't slowed down in recent years either, as many E-types are sold online, ranging in price from $10,000 to $60,000. Gas Saving Tips 1 - Use Less Gas And Save Money

You have probably heard theses gas saving tips from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and whoever taught you to drive. Yet very few people actually bother to implement them.
Why is that? Are people tired of hearing them? Have these gas saving tips been said so many times that people tune them out? Well, you are going to hear them again in this series of articles, along with the reasons why they DO work!
Gas Saving Tip #1: Know Your Vehicle's Fuel Efficiency
The actual fuel efficiency of your car will probably differ from that stated on the price sticker. Variables such as make, model, weather, city or interstate driving, and driving habits will affect the fuel efficiency. Efficiency is measured in miles driven per gallon of gasoline used (miles per gallon or mpg).
That is why you should periodically calculate your vehicle's fuel efficiency. If you see it decreasing, you know that something's not right with the engine and can take quick action to fix it.
Some people are unaware of how to properly calculate fuel efficiency. It is more than simply dividing miles by gallons. For example, if someone drives 500 miles and then buys 1 gallon of gas, the fuel efficiency is not 500 miles per gallon!
Here is the proper method to calculate fuel efficiency in mpg:
1. Fill up your gas tank. Do not top it off.
2. Write down the starting mileage.
3. Drive until the tank is almost empty.
4. Fill the tank up again the next time you need to buy gas.
5. Write down the ending mileage.
6. Write down the number of gallons of gas it took to fill up the tank.
7. Calculate the Miles Traveled as the Ending Mileage minus the Starting Mileage.
8. The fuel efficiency in mpg = Miles Traveled / Gallons Used
Example:
A driver fills up her tank when the odometer reads 25,000 miles. When the tank is almost empty, she fills up with 18.5 gallons, and the odometer reads 25,500 miles.
Starting Mileage = 25,000 miles
Ending Mileage = 25,500 miles
Miles Traveled = 25,500 - 25,000 = 500 miles
Gallons Used = 18.5 gallons
Fuel Efficiency = 500 miles / 18.5 gallons = 27 mpg

* Look for a neat, well-organized facility, with vehicles in the parking lot equal in value to your own and modern equipment in the service bays.
* Look for a courteous staff, with a service consultant or technicians willing to answer your questions.
* Look for policies regarding estimated repair costs, diagnostic fees, guarantees and acceptable methods of payment.
* Ask whether the repair facility specializes or usually handles your type of repair work.
* Look for signs of professionalism in the customer service area, such as civic, community or customer service awards.
* Look for evidence of qualified technicians: trade-school diplomas, certificates of advanced course work and certifications by ASE indicate the presence of professional, trained technicians.
* Look for the ASE sign, which indicates the shop employs ASE-certified technicians. They wear blue and white ASE shoulder insignia and carry credentials listing their exact areas of certification. Facilities with a high percentage of ASE-certified professionals may also be members of ASE's Blue Seal of Excellence Recognition Program.

The Saab 9-3 biopower convertible comes as an ethanol-hybrid vehicle. It also comes mounted with a turbo engine that could take in two liters of fuel for added power. And making it all unique is that this engine has got three electric motors for an added spunk in performance and delivery. And when Saab showed off this vehicle, it made sure that it pointed out that two of the three electric engines that this vehicle held were actually found and mounted to the front wheels of the Saab 9-3 biopower convertible. As for the third engine, you may ask? It has been fitted in the vehicle’s axle in the back.
Despite the fact that Saab did not also boast of Saab auto parts for this vehicle, the Saab 9-3 biopower convertible sure is a good looking one. And added with all the features, benefits, and technology that this vehicle has to offer, everything would look like a pretty good deal for such a futuristic convertible.

There are two issues that affect in-car signal loss. Either you are driving through a dead zone - an area where the signal is weakened or nonexistent - or your car might actually be blocking part of the signal.
This signal loss can be a problem, because one of the many reasons new users purchase a cell phone is for security. And according to the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, nearly half of all users have used their cell phones to report car trouble, medical emergencies, crimes and drunk or reckless drivers. These well-timed calls have saved lives and prevented accidents.
"A weak car signal is problematic for people who rely on their cell phones for safety. In some cases, you may be driving along and get too weak of a signal to use your phone," says Lloyd R. Meese, chief executive officer of Wi-Ex, a company that uses a patent-pending technology to increase signal strength inside the car.
"Although safety is a good reason to have a cell phone in the car, the cell phone has expanded beyond voice applications for many drivers and commuters. They need continued signal to catch up on returning phone calls, check Web sites for travel information or check on the location of their child's soccer match."
New technology that amplifies and improves the signal is available in the form of a U.S.-manufactured signal booster called zBoost. The zBoost wireless unit, when installed in the car via an adaptor plugged into the cigarette lighter, provides more miles of uninterrupted signal, decreases dropped or missed calls and extends the battery life of the phone. It works with major phones and carriers and supports simultaneous use.
